BPOU Convention on March 24

Dear Friends and Neighbors:

Two short years ago you honored me with your endorsement for Minnesota State Senate. I once again am seeking your Republican endorsement, this time in my new Senate District 58. With your vote on Saturday, March 24th, we can continue the work we have started. I will continue my effort to restrain government, grow our economy, and promote individual liberty.

My wife Rhonda and I have been married 26 years; we have two wonderful children, Amanda (18) and Phil (16). We have lived in Lakeville since 1998. I provide legal council to a small company in Lakeville, and Rhonda is a substitute teacher.

Our State needs effective advocates for our conservative ideals. As a lifelong Minnesotan and small business owner I understand how government can better serve all of us:

• Decrease the size of government.
• Defend life, liberty and property.
• Reduce the tax burden.
• Promote job creation.
• Reform education.

As a freshman and Assistant Majority Leader I not only promoted, but advanced our values. I have fought against increased spending, high taxes, and burdensome regulation. For over ten years I carried the conservative message as a radio talk show host and television debater. I have demonstrated that I stand my ground and represent our shared interests. Our fight has just begun, and our work continues.

As a delegate or alternate you have an important responsibility. I respectfully ask you for your endorsement for State Senate. I look forward to seeing you at Lakeville South High School on March 24th. I am honored to have your support.

Thompson Senate Target Shoot

On Nov. 9th, Dave Bares received "The Sen. Pariseau Patriot Award" from Senator Dave Thompson. The award was for having the best score at the TARGET SHOOT (15 targets in 7.83 seconds)

The award reads:

"In honor of Senator Pat Pariseau’s long and distinguished legacy of advocating for sportsmen and 2nd Amendment Rights, The Senator Pat Pariseau Patriot Award is presented to DAVID BARES for being Right on target and having the best marksmanship at the first annual Senator Dave Thompson TARGET SHOOT."
